SXSW London ↙️
We were invited to perform at the SXSW London Conference following the impact of our performances and presence at SXSW Austin. During the event, we delivered three highly acclaimed performances, including two on the SXSW London Conference main stage (the SXSW London Stage). One performance preceded talks by Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA and Idris Elba, while another led directly into the keynote address by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales. Each performance was met with a full house and an enthusiastic response from the audience.
We also performed for UK House at SXSW London, which generated significant praise and a number of positive reviews on LinkedIn, including the following:
“The very first SXSW London. The cool things you don’t expect: The Beatbox Collective”
“SXSW London has had a bit of everything from Idris Elba’s DJ set to beatboxing by The Beatbox Collective”
“Amazing day at SXSW London yesterday. Highlights for me: hearing from Sir Ian Livingstone … the Venture Spotlight Final … a great panel on the games industry … And The Beatbox Collective. Obviously”
“While the jury deliberated, The Beatbox Collective hit the stage and completely blew the crowd away. Within minutes, this high-energy surprise act has a full conference audience clapping, dancing, and laughing. Pure joy. Perfect choice.”
“’TheBeatboxCollective, Could you please come before every talk? @sxswlondon”
“SXSW London was thriving! The Department of Business and Trade brought together many of the creative industries … The amazing Beatbox Collective set the tone … with humans and no AI in sight!”
“SXSW LONDON – at UKHouse busy busy busy! … amazing to connect with so many inspiring people … and to reconnect with Gina Akers and The Beatbox Collective who smashed a brilliant performance”
We were also interviewed by BBC Radio Wales and even created some new idents/jingles for their shows! 📻
We grew our network further making new connections with the Arts Council and Tech Companies 📟
